Hello everybody
the 17/02 to 8/03 2011 I was in Vietnam Mui Ne bay for 20 days to compete on the first PWA grand slam freestyle, slalom on Vietnam. And of course it was an opportunity for me to know a new country and a new destination for windsurfing.
I was on Mui Ne (200km nort-est of Ho chi minh) a few days before the event with, Tilo Eber G-414 (Jp, neilpryde), Yarden Meier ISR-91(Fanatic, simmer style) and Ian Mouro BRA-85 (JP, neilpryde) for training and scooter trip along this windy coast.

Mui Ne Bay it's a small touristic place, a passage for the backpacker and of course
a nice place to sailing, you can found different conditions of chop throughout the bay with waves to jump and surf. All the spots are close to each other and if you want sailing in a other spot , you just need a transport to be there in 10 min. Vietnam it's a very cheap country... so renting a scooter is a good way to mix with the welcoming population and go sailing !

The first contest freestyle, slalom PWA 2011 in Mui Ne Vietnam was a great event with an excellent organization and hospitality.
The contest start with the freestyle.. 23 riders on total.
We had wind every day during the 4 days of competition making possible to close 2 doubles. The conditions was very difficult for all the freestylers with a hardcore chop, but everybody was sailing good, trying to do their best with new school moves like Burner, culo, kono etc ... so congrats to all riders.
Vietnam... a nice trip, and for sure a new destination for the windsurf
See you soon with more news
